📥 Inbox UX Improvements

We spent about 4 weeks making improvements to the user experience of Inbox. It should be a lot easier to read and reply to new emails, calls, and texts from Inbox now! Here are the highlights:

Change styles to make the interface cleaner and more readable/usable. Screen Shot 2022-09-23 at 12

Keyboard shortcuts for Inbox conversation page: “R” opens the reply field, “N” opens the note field. Screen Shot 2022-09-23 at 12

Simplify the conversation “Reply/Note” box by giving it a collapsed mode by default. This makes it easier to read the thread before you reply. Screen Shot 2022-09-23 at 12

Expand reply box upward as you type so it only takes up the amount of space it needs to, but requires less scrolling. Screen Shot 2022-09-23 at 12

Display “you’re at the end of the list” at the bottom of the inbox list page so you know when you’ve reached the bottom. Screen Shot 2022-09-23 at 12

Show the user’s profile picture on event activities so it’s easier to tell who did what in Inbox conversations. Screen Shot 2022-09-23 at 12

🧽 Activity feed improvements

We updated the activity feed on Leads, Processes, and in Inbox Conversations to make it easier to read and use. Moved the timestamp to the right so activities take up less space on the page Screen Shot 2022-09-23 at 12

Action icons are only shown when hovering over activities to make the activity feed feel less crowded and overwhelming. Screen Shot 2022-09-23 at 12

🧹 Lead/Process page improvements

The Lead/Process sidebar, contact, and property cards are cleaner to make for a less complicated interface. Screen Shot 2022-09-23 at 12

🔁 Performance improvements to PMSync

Speed, reliability and performance are always a top priority for us. We made a few improvements to PMSync, the tool that syncs your property management software data to prevent performance degradation in other areas of the app. So far, these improvements seem to have helped keep the app performant!

🐛 Bug Fixes

  • FIXED UX issue where the “note” field was not auto-focused on leads/processes
  • FIXED bug where “inbox” selector on Conversations appeared as if it wasn’t selectable
  • FIXED issue where Zapier was throttling Zaps involving LeadSimple
  • FIXED bug where opening a lead page jumped down to the activity feed
  • FIXED Inbox bug where replies were not being properly separated in new emails in a thread
